The Stagetimer

The Stagetimer reflects Nomadic’s belief that the best watches do more than tell time — they tell stories, capturing moments, mindsets, and personality in a lasting form. Developed in collaboration with Northern Irish comedian Colin Geddis, the aim was to create a custom timepiece that went far beyond a simple dial or colour change. Instead, the project was built around a clear objective: to design a watch that feels unmistakably “Colin”, while remaining fully aligned with the Nomadic design language.

Design that respects the craft, while still having fun with it.

One of the standout features of The Stage Timer is the bezel, customised with set-time markings inspired by the structure of a stand-up set, the checkpoints, countdowns, and pressure of making every minute land. It’s a subtle tribute to the discipline behind live performance. To add personality, Colin requested a bold red minute hand, bringing contrast and energy to the dial and reinforcing the idea that minutes matter most. On the reverse, the rotor was shaped like a microphone, a playful nod to Colin’s life on stage, and the finishing touch that made the watch feel truly one-of-one.

Custom Bezel

The bezel was customised with set-time markings inspired by the structure and pacing of a stand-up set, reflecting the timing and rhythm behind live comedy.

Red Minute Hand

A bold red minute hand was introduced to add contrast and energy to the dial, reinforcing the importance of timing within live performance and comedy.

Custom Rotor

The rotor was shaped like a microphone as a subtle nod to Colin’s life on stage, bringing personality and storytelling into the movement itself.

Colin Geddis is a Northern Irish comedian, writer, and content creator known for his sharp storytelling, quick wit, and instantly recognisable characters. From selling out live shows across the UK and Ireland to building a major online following, he has become one of Belfast’s most prominent comedy voices, blending everyday humour with a bold, unapologetic style. This project was driven by Colin’s desire to create a watch that reflects that same precision and energy, while still standing as a serious, considered statement piece.
